In a significant step towards providing recreational facilities to its employees and their families, NTPC Farakka reopened a swimming pool at FHC township on 29th April 2023. The facilities aim to offer a respite from the scorching heat of the summer season and serve as a fun and entertainment spot for the residents of the township.

Shri Bijay Manjul, GM (O&M) Farakka, graced the inauguration ceremonies as the chief guest, accompanied by other dignitaries, including Shri Satheesh S, GM (BE/EMG); Shri Alok Kumar Ranbir, AGM (HR); representatives of Unions and Association and members of NTPC Sports Council.

During the event, Shri Bijay Manjul, GM (O&M) thoroughly examined the conditions of the swimming pools and interacted with the professional trainers hired to impart swimming lessons to the township residents. The trainers demonstrated various swimming exercises and essential life-saving techniques, such as 'How To Save Someone from Drowning.'

The inauguration of the swimming pools in the township areas showcases NTPC Farakka's commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among its employees. The new facilities are anticipated to bring joy and relief during the intense summer months.
